The bee’s honeycomb is a hexagon that represents the heart. The honeycomb reveals the secrets of creation: as bees extract the short- lived pollen powder and transform it into the food of immortality since honey is a symbol of light, immortality, and abundance, so should we extract wisdom from the experiences of our daily lives. Honey also represents the sweetness of the earth as a symbol of initiation, purity, and bliss.
Honey is the end result of “purification of the self” through internal work—the distillation of spiritual energy—and symbolizes the transformation of the soul into wholeness. This is why honey is known as the “soul of flowers” and the elixir of life.
